Historic Cochran Davenport Farmstead – Dial, Georgia

This farmstead was originally built in the late 1880s, it was rebuilt after a fire in the 1980s. The farmstead retains many of its original outbuildings and is part of the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.
These two outside weather-proof signs were produced for Elma Ettman, the owner of the home from 1987 to 2023, and were placed on the property shortly after her death. One display is for the Cochran Davenport Farmstead and the other tells the story of the Historic Crossroads at Dial, Georgia. The display also incorporates QR codes which link to YouTube documentary videos about the farmstead and the heritage bridges of Fannin county. QR codes allow for multi-media interactive displays.
